There are a few things that sometimes deter people from adopting a healthier lifestyle. Nutritional education is a good starting point, and although this app isn’t necessarily there to give you advice, it is a great way to understand what is in what you eat, and how those calories and grams add up over the course of a day or week. Nutritionists and doctors often discuss the importance of accountability and suggest a food diary as a way to monitor your eating habits. Lose It! provides an avenue for education, accountability, and it’s available at your fingertips, 24/7!

After personally using Lose It!, I can attest to all of its great features. The ability to create custom exercises and foods is very helpful, although they have a large database that with a little searching generally has everything you need. The calorie counter keeps track of what you take in and what energy you exert, so you know how much you should be eating after an hour on the treadmill.

You can also monitor your progress by entering your weight, which is displayed on a handy little graph. This app connects to Facebook and Twitter, if you’re looking to share your successes! Whether you plan to change your lifestyle or maintain your goal weight and fitness level, this app will be great for you!
