Over 100 volunteers. Nearly 1,000 backpacks. One unforgettable afternoon.
The 3rd Annual Austin Benefits Backpack Drive wasn’t just a success, it was a reflection of everything we believe in: community, purpose, and the power of showing up for others.
In the weeks leading up to the big day, our incredible clients, trusted partners, and generous community filled our lobby with school supplies: crayons, folders, markers, binders, and more. Each item was a small act of generosity… and together, they became something much bigger. On July 17th, more than 100 volunteers showed up to help us pack nearly 1,000 backpacks…all in just one hour. Record time. Wow! What started as a simple idea by Catherine Austin to provide back-to-school supplies to local children has become one of our most powerful annual traditions at Austin Benefits Group thanks to the way our community continues to rise, year after year. Each backpack was packed, sealed, and donated to five incredible nonprofit organizations doing life-changing work in our community:

• MCHS Family of Services
• Brilliant Cities
• Orchards Children’s Services Inc.
• Starfish Family Services
With their help, these backpacks will go straight into the hands of children who might otherwise start the school year without the tools they need.
