We were honored as one of Metro Detroit’s 101 Best & Brightest Companies to Work for in 2016. This is the fifth time in a row we have received this prestigious award. Our team came together to film a fun video about our favorite things about working at Austin.
Our office is located right off of Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Our building managers graciously hosted a barbeque so we could visit with our neighbors and enjoy some classic cars during the Woodward Dream Cruise. We enjoyed hot dogs right out on our “front yard”. One of our teammates even brought in a bright red GTO to show off!
This year we received the Crain’s Cool Places to Work in Michigan for the first time. We celebrated with an office-wide celebration. The whole team participated in a Photo Scavenger hunt with a “Selfie” theme! We had fun getting our competitive and creative juices flowing, and had a lot of laughs over the resulting photos. Hey, insurance agents can be fun, too!
This summer we also took time to attend the Southfield Public Schools annual wellness fair. The fair kicks off the school year and is attended by hundreds of teachers, administrators, and other employees of the district. This year we brought mini hand sanitizers, easy and healthy recipe cards, and a fall theme healthy living newsletter you can get free here! We’ve also concluded our summer 5Ks and are super excited about the great causes we supported this year.
Next, we are looking forward to spending 3 days in downtown Detroit for the 2016 Michigan SHRM Conference & Exhibition. We hope to see you there, we have some big surprises planned!
