The heart of our service extends to the local community

As a company, our dedication not only serves our clients well. It serves the community, too. One of our biggest values at Austin Benefits Group is giving our time, energy and resources to support the needs of others. Whether it’s the teamwork attitude that our employees carry internally, the willingness to go above and beyond to serve our clients or the desire to find opportunities to give back to our local community, we’re always looking for opportunities to support others.

Adopt-A-Family

Every December we Adopt-A-Family in the Metro Detroit Area. In 2017, we adopted a mother, her two boys, and baby-on-the-way. We were able to provide new winter gear and clothes, along with a generous assortment of toys for each of the boys. You can read more about our 2017 Adopt-A-Family experience on the Benefits Blog here.

Working with the South Oakland Shelter has been a very rewarding experience for the Austin team. We cooked spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, and brought all the fixin’s each year. Vasculitis Foundation

In 2016, our holiday cards for clients contained a message that we would donate a very special gift on their behalf to the Vasculitis Foundation. The Vasculitis Foundation helps support and empower the community through awareness, education, support and research programs of this rare disease.

Supporting Education

We look for opportunities of all kinds to support young minds in our community. We’ve sponsored 5Ks, golf holes, and swim tournaments. Notably, we made a donation to Eton Academy in support of their expansion including the Austin Benefits Group Human Resources Office. We also help raise funds for a building for the Detroit Achievement Academy with a dollar-for-dollar matching program of $25,000. Each year, we are the gold sponsor for Horizons-Upward Bound HUB 5K on the Cranbrook grounds in Bloomfield Hills.

Care House Donation with Metro Detroit ALA

Care House Donation with Metro Detroit ALA

We were very excited to participate in a new giving program this year through our friends at the Metro Detroit Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). They supported the CARE House of Oakland County with both cash and in-kind donations. The Austin team pitched in through a Jean Week fundraiser and many in-kind donations as well. Thanks to a matching donation by Austin Benefits Group President & CEO, Dean Austin, we raised well over $1,000.

The CARE House of Oakland County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency based in Pontiac, Michigan. It currently offers an array of programs focused on the identification and treatment of child abuse victims, and on child abuse prevention. You can find out more about helping to support the CARE House by visiting their website.
