The award is based both on a company’s standard practices and an employee survey that addresses communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and more.

The Austin team loves to come together to chat and enjoy good food. In 2018 we have had a winter Soup Bar from Zoup, yummy sliders from local burger spot Hunter House, a baseball theme lunch to celebrate Opening Day, and now Fresh Fruit every Friday morning for the rest of summer.
We kicked the summer off by attending a Tiger’s Game in May. Austin team members enjoyed watching the evening game from a comfy suite with snacks and drinks.
This summer we sponsored the Ben Snyder Memorial (HUB) 5K for Horizons-UpwardBound. The 5K takes place annually, rain or shine as we found out this year. The race started with a bit of drizzle and ended in a full downpour! Horizons-Upward Bound prepares students from the Metro Detroit area to enter and succeed in post-secondary education. Recently, we hosted a surprise ice cream party to give out our official Austin gear including several polos, men’s and women’s hoodies, colorful track jackets, and a puffer vest. We’ve already been seeing these cool designs out in the wild at the Austin office!
The Austin Team most recently watched the Woodward Dream Cruise from the lawn right outside our office. We enjoyed sliders and sides from Hunter House and enjoyed cool drinks in fun benefits koozies from our friends at Plansource. Although the festivities were rained out, we finished up our Car Buff Quiz and played games in the office. Winners of our quiz went home with gift cards to Griffin Claw Brewing!
