Health care in the United States is changing, but companies like Clorox and The Children’s Health Fund still see the need to raise funds for disadvantaged children. In a recently launched campaign, “Check-In for Checkups,” your health knowledge means more care for disadvantaged kids in need of a doctor’s visit. So how does it work? Simple. From June to December, users are encouraged to visit “Check-in for Checkups” and check-in by adding a healthy behavior. For example, add a healthy habit such as, ‘Wash your hands in warm soapy water for at least 15 seconds’ and Clorox will donate 10 cents toward doctor’s office visits for children in need. Already added a healthy habit? You can also check-in by accomplishing the healthy habit of the day. If a user registers and provides contact information, the donation doubles to 20 cents. Clorox will donate up to $100,000 to The Children’s Health Fund, which is hoping to provide half a million health care visits across the country. As of my last check-in, Clorox has set aside $10, 315.90 to donate. Share your health knowledge and help support wellness for our children by visiting http://www.checkinforcheckups.com/.
What healthy habits have you adopted that you’d like to share?
