//Tips to Stay Healthy on Black Friday

Black Friday draw crowds of mass proportions for door-busting deals, and you know what that means: germs. It may seem silly, but it’s important to stay healthy and safe during this whirlwind holiday shopping season.

If you dare to venture out this week, keep you and your family healthy with the following tips:

  • Consider getting the flu shot. Getting the vaccination prior to Friday could help you fight off colds and viruses now and in the future.
  • Prepare ahead and try to get at least 6 hours of sleep before you head out.
  • Bring hand sanitizer. It’s inexpensive and you can buy it in travel size. Use it frequently!
  • Wipe down your shopping cart! Most stores provide disinfectant wipes at the entrancetake advantage of this and quickly wipe down your cart.
  • Wipe down your cell phone. You undoubtedly will use your phone to alert your friends and family of the best deals. Make sure you wipe down your cell phone with a Clorox wipe at the end of your shopping trip.
  • Keep your blood sugar levels regulated and drink lots of water. Not only will you have more energy to shop, you will avoid making your body susceptible to germs.
  • Dress appropriately for the conditions. If you’re camping out, make sure to dress warm to protect yourself against the elements and prevent illness.
  • Wear comfortable shoes to avoid injury.

Good luck and happy deal hunting!!!
